EWSI - 610- DEC 11

For numerous organizations, IPC-A-610 certification is required for anyone who holds a solder certification, who is an inspector, or who examines products and makes accept/reject decisions.  This requirement includes all assemblers, quality personnel, manufacturing & process engineers, and some test technicians & test engineers, as well as design engineers.  Also, with the cancellation of MIL-STD-2000A in 1995, many companies had made decisions to adopt this industry-consensus IPC-A-610 standard; thus the training to IPC-A-610 replaced certification to MIL-STD-2000A.

The IPC-A-610 certification training program is valuable to the electronics industry as it defines a clear, distinct level of training, which is acknowledged and accepted by other users of the program.  Holding an IPC certificate illustrates that the individual had successfully learned a precise set of industry-recognized criteria, which in turn is a terrific starting point for an excellent quality quest.

This training and certification has immediate recognition, legitimacy, and value throughout the electronics industry. Over 3,000 individuals have been trained and certified as IPC-A-610 Class “A” Instructors in the first five years of the program. Our instructors are certified as Class “A” Instructors. A comprehensive and technically accurate program, the IPC-A-610 Training and Certification provides instructors with high-quality materials and detailed instructional plans for training operators.
